5 Fundraising Ideas for Halloween
Fun Ideas for Halloween Fundraisers
Halloween is right around the corner and it’s time to start thinking of ideas for your Halloween fundraisers. This fun holiday is a great opportunity to earn funds for your school, club, team, or group. This article will give you a few ideas.
1. Sweet Treats
Everyone will be looking for treats to give out on Halloween, or just to treat themselves! Halloween is all about candy and those that don’t usually eat candy will give themselves permission to eat it during the Halloween season. Now is a great time to sell dollar candy bars (cooler weather means no worries about melting). Also, lollipops are always a fun idea, especially the cool Halloween shaped lollipops.
2. Not Sweet Treats
If you’re looking for something that is not sweet for your Halloween fundraiser, I love the Halloween themed Smencils. These are scented pencils that are made of recycled newspaper. Not only are they “not sweet”, they are considered a “green” fundraiser. The Halloween themed collectible toppers will be irresistible to your customers. Smencils are a great idea for a school club.
3. Halloween Event
Another fun idea would be to have a Halloween event. For example, a “Trunk or Treat” is popular for kids these days. You can make sales at the event by selling “Witch’s Brew” and possibly including a bake sale. You could also sell tickets for a huge filled treat bag or box, decorated Jack-o-Lanterns, or to keep it simple, a 50/50 cash raffle.
Other event ideas would be a Costume Contest or Pet Costume Show with an entry fee. And, you can also sell refreshments at the event.
4. Bake Sale
What better time of year for a bake sale than Halloween? Set up a table at a local store (with their permission). Have members of your group contribute bake goods to sell that are Halloween or Fall themed.
5. Halloween Raffle
A raffle is an easy way to earn funds and Halloween is the perfect time to have it. Purchase a ready made Halloween Treat Box, or make your own, to raffle off. Items for the basket could be candy and other snack treats or a product that you think would be a popular item. It doesn’t have to be Halloween related, but if you could put that spin to it, all the better. One suggestion would be a Movie Night themed box and include scary movies and typical movie candy and popcorn.
