National Spaghetti Day, Perfect for Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser

National Spaghetti Day, Jan 4, Perfect day for Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser

National Spaghetti Day Is January 4th, the Perfect Day for a Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser

National Spaghetti Day is January 4th! This day is the perfect time to have a Spaghetti Supper fundraiser. If you promote your supper as a celebration of the national day, it will certainly lead to more sales and a successful fundraiser! Everyone will want to eat spaghetti on January 4th to celebrate the day and take advantage of your fundraiser.

How to Have a Spaghetti Supper

Have a meeting to decide the details of your fundraiser and appoint members specific jobs. Arrange to have your spaghetti supper at your local church or community center. If this is a school club, you may be able to arrange to use the cafeteria. The members of your club will need to volunteer their help for shopping for ingredients, cooking and salad prep, setting up tables for the event, and for clean-up afterwards. Make a list of who will do what and make sure everyone knows their jobs. Figure out what your cost will be and then decide on a fee for adults and children, and what that fee includes. Be sure and advertise well ahead, and all members should promote it as a National Day celebration.

Planning Your Fundraiser:

  • Place, Date, Time for supper
  • List of volunteers for shopping, cooking/prep, set-up, clean up
  • Fee for adults and children
  • Advertise and Promote as a National Day!

Spaghetti Supper Menu

Offer a variety of sauces, including the traditional tomato sauce, with and without meat, plus Alfredo sauce (optional). You might want to include a gluten-free spaghetti choice for those who are allergic to wheat and gluten. Offer Parmesan cheese for sprinkling, a simple tossed salad, and garlic bread. Tea, coffee, and water should be adequate, but you can add several types of soft drinks. For dessert, you could have a couple of simple choices. Or, for example, if this is a church supper, you could have members donate a dessert.

The Menu:

  • Spaghetti and Sauce
  • Simple tossed salad
  • Garlic Bread
  • Choice of Beverage
  • Dessert
