Are you always looking for new ideas for raising funds for your school, PTA/PTO, sports team, club, church, or group? You need to look no further than the day of the month! Each day of the month is a national celebration of something, and usually for more than one thing. Take advantage of this and use it to promote a product related to the celebration of the day. This will give you an abundance of UNIQUE ideas for fundraising.

November gives you 30 national day celebrations. Granted, not every national day will be appropriate for a fundraising opportunity, but you will certainly be able to decide on several. If you do one fundraiser per month, you’ll have lots of unique choices. Pick the one that suits your school, team, club, or church the best. Remember, you don’t have to have it on the exact day, you can celebrate a national day for a couple of weeks before the date, or even for the whole month.

There are more and more things being celebrated as a “National Day”, which gives you many opportunities to use these days as a fundraising promotion. Even though each day is celebrated, sometimes with multiple things, not everything is suitable to use as a fundraiser theme. Below I’ve listed 15 days in November that will give you unique ideas for a fundraising campaign.

November 1 – National Author’s Day

November 1st is National Author’s Day. For this day, you could have a Read-a-Thon fundraiser. This would be great for an entire school. Each students gets sponsors per book they read. You could have it last for the month of November. Another idea would be to have a Favorite Author Vote. Each vote cost a quarter or whatever you decide.

November 2 – National Deviled Egg Day

November 2 is National Deviled Egg Day. This would be a unique fundraising opportunity for the FHA Club, 4-H, or church group. There are many different recipes for deviled eggs, so have everyone bring their best recipe and have a Deviled Egg Sale at school or church. Another idea would be to have a Deviled Egg Raffle.

November 3 – National Sandwich Day

November 3 is National Sandwich Day. This would make a fun idea for a school club. It could sell, for example, a Beta Club Sandwich! Name the sandwich after the name of your club. Sell sandwiches at school or at an event.

November 4 – National Candy Day

November 4 is National Candy Day. Although this one is not very unique, it does give you lots of opportunities for a fundraiser, including candy bars and lollipops. If you’re already having a candy fundraiser of some type, now would be the perfect time for promoting. Take any advantage you can to make more sales. If it’s promoted as a “National Day” everyone will want to buy candy so they can participate in the celebration.

November 5 – National Donut Day

November 5 is National Donut Day! Oddly enough, there are two National Donut (Doughnut) Days. There is another one on every first Friday of June.

This would be a great day to start off a Donut Fundraiser or just use this as a one-day fundraiser. You might want to check out the Krispy Kreme fundraising opportunity or you maybe a local business that can offer you a great deal on donuts. This is a yummy idea for any club or church group.

November 6 – National Nachos Day

November 6 - National Nachos Day

November 6 is National Nachos Day. This is a unique theme for a fundraiser and a great idea for the Spanish Club. Have a Nacho Bar at school or local event. Combine with a school dance or sports game.

November 10 – National Vanilla Cupcake Day

November 10 - National Vanilla Cupcake Day

November 10 is National Vanilla Cupcake Day. Celebrate this day with a bake sale offering only vanilla cupcakes. Offer a variety of icing flavors and toppings. If the date isn’t convenient for a sale, have it the closest date that works for you. Be sure and promote it as a National Vanilla Cupcake Day Celebration.

November 11 is National Sundae Day. Celebrate with a Sundae Sale! Everyone loves ice cream. Provide several flavors of ice cream and lots of toppings, including whipped cream and cherries. You can have members of your group make sundaes to order or have a Sundae Bar for folks to make their own creations. This would make a great addition to a school dance or event.

November 14 – National Pickle Day

November 14th is National Pickle Day! This is a unique fundraising opportunity. Have you ever seen a pickle fundraiser? Have a Pickle Sale at school, team game, or event. Promote it as a national day to draw attention. People will buy anything that is a “National Day” product, just because it’s being celebrated. And, pickles taste good!

November 17 – National Homemade Bread Day

November 17 is National Homemade Bread Day. This is unique idea for the FHA Club or for a church club. Instead of a Bake Sale with desserts, have a Homemade Bread Sale that features homemade bread made by members of your group. It could include loaf bread, biscuits, or rolls. I can see this being a great success!

Novmeber 19 – National Play Monopoly Day

November 19 - National Play Monopoly Day

November 19 is National Play Monopoly Day. You could earn funds on this day by holding a “Monopoly-a-Thon”. Participants could get sponsors to donate for each hour playing Monopoly or a flat donation. This would be a unique and fun fundraising idea for youth groups or young adults.

November 21 – National Gingerbread Cookie Day

November 21 - National Gingerbread Cookie Day

November 21 is National Gingerbread Cookie Day. You guessed it…have a bake sale that features nothing except all types of gingerbread cookies. Don’t forget to include gingerbread men! This will be a unique fundraising idea for any club, group, or church. Sales will take off because Thanksgiving is so near. Promote this as a “National Day” sale.

November 25 – National Parfait Day

November 25 is National Parfait Day. Celebrate this day by making yummy parfaits in different flavor combinations and sell them at school, church, or other event. If you promote this as a National Parfait Day Sale, you can’t go wrong. Everyone loves to take part in a national day celebration.

November 27 – National Jukebox Day

November 27 - National Jukebox Day

November 27 is National Jukebox Day. This is the perfect time to have a 50’s theme “sock hop” or dance at your school. This year (2019) November 27 is on a Wednesday and Thanksgiving is the next day, so you could have it the week-end before or after that date. But, be sure and promote it as a celebration for National Jukebox Day. This is one of my favorite ideas for a national day fundraiser.

November 30 – National Mason Jar Day

November 30 - National Mason Jar Day

November 30 is National Mason Jar Day. There are so many things you can do with a Mason jar. You can, of course, can vegetables in them, but you can also use them for crafts and gifts. You can check on Pinterest for an abundance of ideas for Mason Jar Crafts and Mason Jar Cookie Mixes. I suggest you have a sale, celebrating Mason Jar Day, and offer nothing but Mason jars filled with each members creations. This a great time of year for a “National Mason Jar Sale”, since people can use them as Christmas gifts. Maybe this could be part of a Christmas Store fundraiser for your school or church.
